Katrin Prager is Associate Professor (Reader) at the Geography & Environment Department at the University of Aberdeen. Most of her research has revolved around sustainable land(scape) management, and the policies and regulations that enable or inhibit farmers and other land managers from adopting practices that are better for the environment and farmer livelihoods. Katrin investigated AKIS and farm advisory services across the EU in PROAKIS and AgriLINK, and innovative agri-environmental schemes and collective management in Contracts2.0. Her current research focusses on sustainable food systems and value chains (VISIONARY) and agroforestry (FarmTree).

Her keynote presentation dealt with Advisors and facilitators as key players in novel agri-environmental contracts.
